Privacy Policy

NetExam Pro is operated by Andrew Moss, sole trader, trading as NetExam Pro. For privacy questions, contact support@netexampro.com — we are the data controller for your information.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never see your actual password).
• Social sign-in data: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and account identifier from that provider, as you authorise on their login screen. We do not receive your social-media password.
• Study progress: your mock exam attempts, scores, and per-domain breakdowns — so we can show your history.
• Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and your email, but never your card details.
• Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and debugging.

NetExam Pro is not intended for children under 16. If you are under 16 you may only use it with a parent or guardian's permission.

2. What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't track you across other websites.

3. Why we process your data (UK GDPR)

Our lawful bases: contract (providing the service you paid for), legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse), and consent where applicable.

Marketing emails

If you opt in (e.g. when taking the free test), we may email you study tips and product updates. Our lawful basis is your consent. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing support@netexampro.com.

4. Where your data lives

On our own server (UK region, hosted by Oracle Cloud). We use the following processors, each under their own privacy policy: Stripe (payments), Google and Meta (social sign-in), Oracle Cloud (hosting). We don't transfer your data outside the UK/EEA except as these processors require to provide their services.

5. How long we keep it

Account and progress data: while your account is active, plus 12 months after last login. Server logs: 90 days. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see below) — though we may retain minimal records required for tax/accounting.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and get a portable copy. To exercise your rights, email support@netexampro.com from your account email — we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have mishandled your data.

7. Cookies

We use a strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. When you use Google/Facebook sign-in or Stripe checkout, those providers set their own cookies under their own policies (see Google's, Meta's and Stripe's cookie information).
